Backend Developer (Python Flask/FastAPI, MongoDB)

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Be actively involved in product and design discussions, shaping the future of our FinTech solutions.
• Help scale our infrastructure to support seamless financial services, making payments accessible for users across the globe.
• Design and build secure and efficient REST APIs for developers and users worldwide, ensuring the highest standards in performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features from concept to deployment, ensuring smooth user experiences.
• Work extensively with Python Flask/FastAPI and MongoDB to build robust backend systems that support real-time data processing and storage.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to bring innovative solutions and new directions for our products.
• Ensure high-quality code by conducting reviews, implementing best practices, and maintaining industry standards for backend development.
• Collaborate on scaling solutions, optimizing systems, and ensuring reliability for large-scale, high-availability systems.
• Stay updated with new technologies and continuously improve our products by integrating cutting-edge solutions.

Mandatory Qualifications:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in backend development.
• Strong expertise in Python Flask or FastAPI for backend API development.
• In-depth experience working with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, web architecture, and best practices in API development.
• Ability to design, implement, and deploy features from scratch to production, taking ownership of the entire lifecycle.
• A strong product mindset with the ability to understand end-user requirements, and deliver scalable, high-performance solutions.
• Demonstrated willingness to learn and implement new technologies to deliver the best solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for improving system architecture and performance.
• A strong commitment to quality code, including working knowledge of version control (Git), testing, and code reviews.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure for deploying and scaling applications.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Contributions to open-source projects or side projects on GitHub.
• Experience working in an agile product development environment.
• Previous experience working in a FinTech or product-based company.
